Hello everyone. Please forgive the delay in getting this important information out to all of you. The new officers and board are in a regrouping and organizational rebuilding phase after many weeks and some months of internal uncertainty and stressors that all organizations go through at some point in their history. We are in a major transitional period at this time and making every effort to settle in and catch up as we move forward. So please bear with us. We have had many changes, challenges, emotions and in need of some real fixes in the past few years. As you know recent elections are now over and we will be starting a new chapter and direction within the organization. The goal, to rebuild a new, healthy club.
I am positive that we can work together to ensure that Three Rivers Fly Fishers will continue to serve this wonderful fly fishing community that we are so very passionate about, and that so many of our members, having dedicated so much of themselves, toward making this club a reality for us all. This will be the first of a series of updates as we move forward throughout the coming year. The goal is keeping you informed in a timely manner and bringing the club together as a cohesive team.
First, I would like to give a sincere “Thank You” to our outgoing officers and board members who gave of their time, talents and valuable inputs, ideas and resources to try and make our organization even better.
President Shannon Nierman. Past President Emeritus Curly Hodson. Vice President Natalee Wright. Previous Vice President and Board Member Branden Carpenter. Board Members Justin Blake, Kerry Shipman, Tom Kline and Ken Schiefelbein. Thank you for all of your time and help. Best wishes to you all.
I would like to recognize, and welcome the following individuals for stepping up and filling vacancies on the Board of Directors. Incoming board members are David Hill, Robert Roller, Don Williams and Daniel Boyko. Don Williams will also assume the duties of Newsletter editor, as well as offer additional technical advice. Thank you all. Dave Therkildsen will remain as Secretary. Ron Dixon will continue duties as Treasurer. Kevin Curtis will assume the duties of President. The position of Vice President is open and will remain vacant at this time. John Crothers and Bob Womack have agreed to stay on as board members and finish out their terms. Thank you. I would also like to recognize and welcome back Larry Wilson to the team. Larry will resume duties as our Webmaster and offer other technological assistance. We look forward to working with Larry and are grateful for the addition of his skillset to the organization. Thank you, Larry. Your new Board of Directors will officially take office and resume club duties per the By Laws on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024. Please welcome them and give them your full support as they move your club forward. We look forward to serving the membership, and to a positive and brighter future.
We will keep you posted with updates and information that we feel will be of the most value to you, and in the timeliest manner we can. I felt the need to disseminate the aforementioned information to you ASAP, so you the members knew the current state of the club as we now stand. Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we start, and move the next chapter of Three Rivers Fly Fishers forward.
